Everyone has a statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and to maintain a professional attitude of it could happen here where safeguarding is concerned.

The Rural Enterprise Academy is committed to safeguarding children, remaining vigilant and maintaining a safe environment. Staff at the academy will act without delay to protect children and will seek to work in partnership with families and external agencies to improve the outcomes for children who are vulnerable.

All academy staff are encouraged to report any concerns that they have, however big or small they may be. These are reported as soon as possible to the academy safeguarding team.

Penk Valley Academy Trust oversee the implementation of safeguarding policy in school through the safeguarding committee.
This is chaired by the Trust Safeguarding champion (Helen Barron) and the link Safeguarding Trustee (Clive Noak).
