We give our students the opportunity to mix academic GCSEs with first-hand experience in industries that link directly with their goals!
The range and depth of the curriculum also equips students with the transferable and marketable skills needed by employers in a wide range of sectors.
Students will be able to choose from a programme of GCSEs designed to develop skills and knowledge in rural enterprise, environmental sustainability and land-based subjects. Students also have the option to study a vocational qualification to replace selected GCSEs however all students will study English, Maths, Science, and Enterprise.
Year 9
Year 9 learners will begin to prepare for GCSEs or equivalent vocational subjects as soon as they start at TREA. The curriculum will consist of the following subjects:-
BTEC Vocational Qualification in Agriculture, Animal Care, Equine Studies and Construction
English Language, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Enterprise, Creative iMedia, CPSHE, RE and Sport.
Year 10:
All students will study English Language and Literature, Maths, BTEC Enterprise and Science.
The current Year 10 option subjects are:-
Option 1: BTEC Vocational Qualification in either Animal Care, Agriculture, Construction or Motor Vehicle.
Option 2: Geography or Sport
Option 3: Triple Science, Creative iMedia or Geography
We reserve the right to withdraw option subjects if there are insufficient numbers.
