The Rural Enterprise Academy

News and Events

Welcome to the Rural Enterprise Academy.

Lorraine Makin - Principal

As the Principal of the new Rural Enterprise Academy, I would like to welcome you to our website. Here you will be able to find out everything that is happening at the Academy, including forthcoming events and the latest news, together with helpful information for learners and their parents/carers.

We have recently moved into the first phase of our new Academy building, staff and students are delighted with the quality of our environment. Next spring the second phase will be completed; this will include an additional suite of teaching rooms as well as a sports hall. Sited in the grounds of South Staffordshire College there can be few schools in the county that enjoy a more beautiful environment. Wherever possible students take advantage of the excellent facilities from the zoo to the land.

If you would like to know more please come to one of our open events where you can meet staff and current pupils.

Year 10 revision guides

Earlier in the year there was an opportunity to purchase Science revision guides for Year 10 students through the Academy. We are pleased to be able to repeat the opportunity but with the addition of French, Geography and Business Studies.

The order form can be viewed here Year 10 revision guides

The use of a revision guide specific to their course would be hugely beneficial towards the final year of GCSE work. We expect the guides to be delivered before the end of the summer term therefore allowing students to keep up with some revision during the summer holidays!!

10 mile Charity Walk on Cannock Chase

On Tuesday 4th July students are taking part in a 10 mile sponsored walk on Cannock Chase to raise money for Barnardo’s, The Teenage Cancer Trust and resources for the Academy.

All students are encouraged to participate and collect sponsorship, which can be done through the Just Giving website
