The Rural Enterprise Academy

News and Events

Welcome to the Rural Enterprise Academy.

Lorraine Makin - Principal

As the Principal of the new Rural Enterprise Academy, I would like to welcome you to our website. Here you will be able to find out everything that is happening at the Academy, including forthcoming events and the latest news, together with helpful information for learners and their parents/carers.

We have recently moved into the first phase of our new Academy building, staff and students are delighted with the quality of our environment. Next spring the second phase will be completed; this will include an additional suite of teaching rooms as well as a sports hall. Sited in the grounds of South Staffordshire College there can be few schools in the county that enjoy a more beautiful environment. Wherever possible students take advantage of the excellent facilities from the zoo to the land.

If you would like to know more please come to one of our open events where you can meet staff and current pupils.

Year 11 Parents’ Evening – Thursday 1st February

Parents/carers of Year 11 students are invited to attend a consultation evening, with their child, to discuss progress and the results from the mock exams with individual teachers on Thursday 1st February, 4.45 – 6.30 pm.

It would be helpful if you could advise your child of your preferred times and the names of the teachers you wish to consult as students are required to book appointments on your behalf.

The covering letter and appointment record sheet can be viewed here: Year 11 parents’ evening appointment sheet

For those parents/carers who were unable to attend the Aspirations Evening on 11th January, Mrs Cartwright will also be repeating her presentation at some point during the evening.

Year 10 BTEC Sport Exam – Thursday 1st February

Year 10 BTEC Sport students have an exam on Thursday 1st February at 9.30 am.

The exam will cover all the topics studied to date. A list of the topics can be found on Google Classroom.
